There isn’t any way to describe it but her voice is so hypnotic. I can’t stop listening to this on repeat. I’m not a huge fan of female singers but her voice is unbelievably intoxicating and addicting. Not only is her voice soothingly addicting her music is catchy and comfortable. You’re going to have to watch the video yourself to understand what I mean.
Here is another song done in live. I haven’t heard the original but looking at the comments from below the video, it looks like it’s better than the original but I don’t care I want their album!
BT is releasing a new album following his This Binary Universe! I can’t wait to see what BT has in store for us! On a related note this song is from his upcoming album. Enjoy.
I hate that song that is known for that line but I digress. This post is dedicated for my obsession of moving very quickly, and in this case it’s falling very fast.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this site so why not start posting again since I’m a bit immobile for a little bit (It sucks .. A LOT). Its been too long since I last heard from ATB, and the release of his new album has wanted me to consider supporting him by buying his CD
In the beginning, there was silence. Through silence, a medium for the transmission of sound was created. Through this medium, it was made possible for all sorts of noises to be heard. Fast forward a few billion years. Now the world is filled with humans, human cities and billions upon billions of human interactions. Thousands upon tens of thousands upon millions of syllables, words, phrases, dialogues, monoluges, soliloquys, speeches, dirges, and elegies float upon the human airwaves, passing through, flitting about and colliding against each other in a myriad cacophany of words. Music nowadays resembles a miniature version of this.
Perhaps at times it’s best to remember where emotions and meanings transcend what is said in music. Forget what the lyrics are telling you and let the complexity of the simplicity of the voice flow through you, lift your thoughts and guide your feelings to new places.
To achieve this effect, I listen to songs either without lyrics or in a different language as so not to get distracted by what is being said. One of my personal preferences is an Iranian musical group called Niyaz. Sample on of their songs:
A movie with no dialogue at all? What?! You’ve got to be shitting me. Yes ladies and gentlemans, such a thing exists. Behold, Baraka!
This clip showcases just one of movie’s themes. Humanity stripped of the power, fame, riches, and everything that differentiates us from the monkeys we are. The song playing is Dead Can Dance – The Host of Seraphim. From the eerie yet calm opening chorus, the song builds into a beautiful and powerful song that makes me listen to it all the way through in awe every time.
